The New Bedford Housing Authority is soliciting quotes for environmental review services in support of federally funded housing modernization and construction activities. We are in search of a consulting firm to assist the Authority in completing environmental reviews in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), HUD environmental regulations contained in 24 CFR Part 50 and/or 24 CFR Part 58, applicable Massachusetts environmental requirements, and all other federal, state, and local regulations necessary to secure environmental clearance prior to the commitment or expenditure of HUD funds.
The New Bedford Housing Authority periodically undertakes capital improvements, redevelopment initiatives, modernization activities, accessibility projects, site improvements, demolition projects, and other construction-related activities funded through HUD programs including but not limited to: Public Housing Capital Fund Program (CFP), Public Housing Operating Fund, Section 8 Programs, RAD Conversions, & Other federal, state, and local funding sources. The purpose of this solicitation is to request a quote from a professional service firm with a qualified environmental consultant capable of preparing and managing environmental reviews and environmental documentation required to obtain HUD environmental clearance.
