TREE TRIMMING and REMOVAL work

The New Bedford Housing Authority, the awarding authority, is requesting quotes from qualified Contractors to provide on-call, routine, and emergency response, TREE TRIMMING and REMOVAL work (NBHA-21-111). This request for quotes includes tree trimming and removal work to be performed on an as needed basis, in federally funded (HUD) public housing developments located throughout the city of New Bedford in accordance with the contract documents. The successful bidder, upon notification to proceed with the work, will be required to complete the Base Bid work this project within sixty (60) calendar days. The contract term for other on-call, routine, and emergency response, TREE TRIMMING and REMOVAL work is one (1) year.
Sealed quotes will be accepted, at the New Bedford Housing Authority Procurement Office 128 Union Street 4TH Floor New Bedford Massachusetts 02740, until 2:00 p.m. on Thursday October 7, 2021 at which time and place sealed quotes will be opened, witnessed, recorded and the results distributed via e-mail thereafter.
Bid Documents will be available from New Bedford Housing Authority, Procurement Office, 128 Union Street, 4TH Floor, New Bedford, Massachusetts 02740 between regular business hours of 8:30am and 4:30pm, Monday through Friday excluding holidays (or any other office closure) beginning September 22, 2021. Bidders may obtain Bid Documents by e-mailing their contact information to James F. Costa, Procurement Agent, at james.costa@nbha-ma.org.
All bids are subject to M.G.L. c.30 §39M, to minimum wage rates as required by M.G.L. c.149 §§26 to 27H inclusive and the U.S. Dept. of H.U.D. 7460.8 REV2 and 2 CFR Part 200 §§ 200.317-200.326 each where applicable. The Authority will reject any and all bids when required to do so by the above referenced General Laws. No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days upon opening of bids without the consent of the Authority. The Authority reserves the right to waive any informalities or irregularities in any or all bids, or to reject any or all bids, in whole or in part, if it be in the public interest to do so.
In accordance with Section 3 of the HUD act of 1968, as amended, opportunity for employment and contracting to the greatest extent feasible shall be given to Section 3 eligible residents and businesses.
