NBHA 023-2023 – REPLACE WALKWAYS AT BAY VILLAGE

The New Bedford Housing Authority invites Contractors to submit Bids for NBHA No. 023-2023 Bay Village Development Walkway Replacement Project with a general location 242 Acushnet Avenue Street 02740 in New Bedford, Massachusetts, in accordance with the documents prepared by the CAB Engineering Solutions, Inc.

The Project consists of: installation of erosion control measures and tree protection; saw cutting of asphalt and concreter; removal and disposal of existing bituminous concrete and concrete walkways/areas; removal and replanting of shrubs; disposal of excavated material; remove and reset curbing; installation of root barrier; furnish and install 8 ft. arborvitae trees, preparing the walkway subgrade; concrete and subgrade material testing; protection of work; loam and seed areas; and construction of concrete walkways and ADA accessible ramps areas throughout the development.

The construction cost is estimated to be $250,000.00.

General Bids will be received until 2:00 PM, July 13, 2023, and publicly opened online, forthwith.

THIS PROJECT IS BEING ELECTRONICALLY BID AND HARD COPY BIDS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.

PRE-BID CONFERENCE

A Pre-bid conference shall be held on Thursday, July 7th, 2023, at 10:00 am.  The meeting will begin at the Madison Street on-street parking area located near 242 Acushnet Avenue Street, New Bedford, MA 02740.  

Bid Forms and Contract Documents shall be available online at www.Projectdog.com, Project Code 023-2023 on or after Wednesday, June 28th, 2023. Bid documents are made available to all bidders in electronic form at no cost. Neither Owner nor Architect/Engineer shall be responsible for full or partial sets of Bid documents, including Addenda, if any, obtained from sources other than Projectdog, Inc.

MINIMUM WAGE RATES

Minimum rates of pay have been established for the project by the Secretary of Labor in accordance with Public Law 403 and the Seventy-fourth Congress approved August 10, 1935 as amended.

Bids are subject to M.G.L. c.30 §39M & to minimum wage rates established for the project by the Federal Davis-Bacon Act (DBA)
