The New Bedford Housing Authority (Authority), the awarding authority, invites sealed bids from qualified contractors to provide professional MOVING and LEGAL STORAGE SERVICES for State aided and federally funded public housing developments owned and operated by the Authority in New Bedford, Massachusetts in accordance with the contract documents.
The Authority will award a contract to the qualified, responsible and responsive bidder offering the best price for providing professional moving services as well as maintaining a fully insured and licensed public warehouse storage facility required for legal eviction services. The term of the contract is three (3) years. Sealed bids must include pricing for all 3 years. The estimated contract cost is $152,000.
Sealed bids will be received until 2:00 p.m., Thursday July 15, 2021 at which time and place said bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. Sealed bids must be delivered to: New Bedford Housing Authority, Procurement Office, 128 Union Street, 4TH Floor, New Bedford, Massachusetts 02740 and received no later than the date & time specified above.
Bidders may obtain one (1) complete set of Bid Documents free of charge by sending a request and contact information to “email@example.com”. Bid Documents will be available from the New Bedford Housing Authority, Procurement Office, 128 Union Street, 4TH Floor, New Bedford, Massachusetts 02740 between the hours of 8:30am and 4:30pm, Monday through Friday excluding holidays beginning Monday June 7, 2021.
Each bid shall be accompanied by: a signed Bid For Form, References, Resume’, Insurance Certificate(s), Commonwealth of Massachusetts Public Warehouse Eviction Rate(s) and Information Update(s), Equipment List, Moving Services License, Corporate Identification, IRS Form W-9, Revenue Enforcement and Protection (REAP) Certification, Certification of Compliance with Presidential Executive Order 11246, Certification of Bidder Regarding Equal Employment Opportunity, Section 3 Employee List, and HUD FORM 5369-C, and Non-Collusive Affidavit of General Bidder.
All bids are subject to M.G.L. c.30B, §5, M.G.L. c.239 §4, and the U.S. Dept. of H.U.D. 7460.8 REV2 and 2 CFR Part 200 §§ 200.317–200.326 each where applicable. No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days upon opening of bids without the consent of the Authority. The Authority reserves the right to waive any informalities or irregularities in any or all bids, or to reject any or all bids in whole or in part, if it be in the public interest to do so. The Authority will reject any and all bids when required to do so by the above referenced General Laws.
In accordance with Section 3 of the HUD act of 1968, as amended, opportunity for employment and contracting to the greatest extent feasible shall be given to Section 3 eligible residents and businesses.
